A Podcast About Encouragement

You, Your Church and Pods with a Purpose

Building One Another

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. I Thessalonians 5:11

You, Your Church and Pods with a Purpose!

Dear Friend,

Please check out www.pod-church.com, a free resource for you and your church.

During these pandemic days we want more human connection and our churches need fresh ways to engage and to re-engage people. In addition to worship, a pod-based ministry is one way to do it!  The term “pods” is useful in our pandemic context; although other terms include small groups, growth groups, ministry teams and micro-groups.

A pod is a life-sustaining vessel or group that nurtures those within it and sends them to serve. “Pods with a purpose” give us a way to sustain personal connections, minimize attrition, grow discipleship and send people to serve.

Pods are “face groups,” small enough for people to face one another, whether in-person or online using platforms like Zoom.

A pod face group gives you a way to know more deeply the Lord who loves you, to grow friendships and to send each other to serve in the world God gives us. Pods enable you, to quote Sam Shoemaker, to “get together, get changed and get going!”

The website www.pod-church.com offers detailed “how-to” information that will help you form your own pod and help your congregations form many pods with a purpose!

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25

For lots of "how-to" information on pod-based ministry, go to www.pod-church.com

Are you currently in a group of three to fourteen people who meet weekly either in-person (socially distanced) or online?

If not, ask yourself who are two or three people you know who may be open to trying a pod experience, perhaps just for seven weeks for a start. Be bold and give them a call!

For your congregation, who are people of initiative and a heart for our Lord and for people who could work with the pastor to form many pods?

About the Podcast

Our heart is to encourage your heart and to encourage you to encourage others.
