Building One Another  

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

I Thessalonians 5:11

Use Your Voice-

Dear Friend –

“My sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow me,” said Jesus. John 10::27

There is something unique about every voice, your voice and the voices of every single person on planet earth.

When someone you know and appreciate speaks to you, just the sound of their voice can encourage your heart! The voice of Jesus speaks to you in countless ways encouraging your heart to sing!

So, use your voice to encourage people. We defer so easily to texting, emailing messaging, posting on social media. Yet, God gave you your voice and the sound of your voice encourages the people in your life! Just call the people God has given you.

You say, “I’m too busy.” “I am an introvert.” “You are supposed to text first then call.”    

Stop with the excuses! Get over yourself, trust that the Lord who loves you will encourage the other person through your voice. Pick up that phone and call!

Just reach out and touch someone (the old AT&T jingle was brilliant) with your voice!

1. Who are some of the people in your life, perhaps no longer living, whose voices have meant a lot to you? Why?
2. What about a person's voice is unique?
3. How do you feel about your own voice? Do you see it as an instrument of encouragement, just the sound of it, as well as what you say?
4. Who are a few people in your life that may be "out of sight," and you rarely see them, but you don't want them to be out of mind. Will you call them in the next week or so? Will you make it an ongoing practice of yours to call some "out of sight" people every week!
