Jesus Moments and Jesus Movements

Dear Friend,

A “Jesus Moment” is any moment in which we, aware of the person of Jesus, entrust our life to him.

A Jesus Moment is any moment we confess our love of Jesus and intent to follow him.

Such Jesus moments morph into Jesus movements as such moments likes sparks in a fire spread the flame of faith in growing circles.

This suggests the flame of faith in you is a spark you received from someone else in a Jesus moment that becomes a Jesus movement when you pass it on.

“Who do you say that I am?” Jesus asked of Peter. He replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Peter’s “Jesus Moment” was one of the sparks that became a spreading conflagration of faith powered by the Spirit of God.

Who do YOU say Jesus is? The person to tell is Jesus – and in the telling you experience your own Jesus Moment – and are sent to pass it on!

Show Notes

  1. Besides Peter's confession of Jesus as the Son of God, can you think of other such "Jesus Moments" in the New Testament?
  2. Do you have any memory of your first Jesus Moment, your first confession of Jesus as your Lord? Many people cannot remember it but simply know they had one. How may your make any moment a Jesus Moment?
  3. Jesus helped Peter have a Jesus Moment by asking him, "Who do you say that I am?" How may you help a person in your life experience their own Jesus Moment?
