A Podcast About Encouragement

Building One Another

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. I Thessalonians 5:11

Heart with Heart Vol. 1, No. 1

Dear Friend,

A person facing a difficult situation sought out the counsel of a wise friend. The friend listened for a long time. Finally, the friend spoke:

You are facing a very difficult situation. I must confess I have no idea what you might do to address your problem. However, my friend, I can do this. I can place my heart alongside your heart and we will see this thing through - together.

Heart with heart - this is building one another - this is bearing one another’s burdens.

Jesus said, “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:1*

When you face the difficult moment. Jesus Christ places his great and loving heart right alongside your small and troubled heart. His message is clear, “We will see this thing through – together.” Trust this loving Lord and know his presence and power.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Ask yourself, “Who in my life is facing a tough situation? In what ways will I put my heart alongside their heart? Then do it! Walk with them - heart with heart.

Len Sweet once said, “The key to care is be there.” So how will you be there, show up? Face-to-face? A phone call? A series of texts? Decide and do it! Trust the Lord who puts his heart with your heart will put his heart with another person’s heart through you.

That’s building one another!
